Bonhams has announced an extraordinary lineup for its highly anticipated Spring Stafford Sale, set to take place on 26-27 April 2025, at the Staffordshire County Showground.

Coinciding with the International Classic MotorCycle Show, the auction will feature a varied array. of sought-after classic motorcycles.

Among the headliners is the 1936 Royal Enfield 225cc Motor Carrier, an unusual survivor from a South London furniture store. It’s estimated to fetch between £12,000 and £14,000. With its original registration, frame, and engine numbers, this motorcycle is expected to attract collectors eager to own a piece of pre-war history.

The sale also includes highlights from The Andy Chapman Collection, featuring rare and coveted motorcycles such as a 1969 BSA 740cc Rocket III. This older restoration has only 36 miles recorded since its refurbishment, with an estimated value of £7,000–£10,000. Equally noteworthy is a 1974 Kawasaki 748cc H2, imported from the United States, which represents a landmark in two-stroke performance motorcycles. Valued at £10,000–£12,000, this machine boasts a unique place in Kawasaki’s history.

A remarkable 1977 Norton 828cc Commando Interstate 850 Mark III also joins the lineup. Unregistered, unused, and with just 13 “push” miles recorded, this piece has an estimated price range of £12,000–£15,000.

Perhaps one of the most historic offerings is the 1939 Velocette Mk VIII KTT, once ridden by Charlie Bruguiere during the 1948 Junior TT. From the estate of the late Geoffrey St John, this racing legend is estimated to command bids between £25,000 and £40,000.

Adding to the allure of the collection is a 1974 Ducati 250 Mark III, a classic mid-20th-century design recently restored in Desmo yellow. First registered in 1974, this Ducati is expected to sell for £3,000–£5,000, which seems a bargain in anyone’s money.

Prospective bidders can preview the lots online and learn more about the auction via Bonhams’ website.
