SUMMARY:Light Aircraft Association Annual Rally 2024
DESCRIPTION:It’s back! The LAA Rally returns and will be held at Leicester Airport from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September 2024. The LAA is working closely with Leicestershire Aero Club to host the event. \nThe weekend will focus on the fly-in and social elements; provide the opportunity to see a wide range of exhibitors\, hear from industry experts in Speakers Corner\, get hands-on experience in the Homebuilders marquee; meet the LAA team\, purchase LAA merchandise and relax in the Struts & Clubs stand.  \n​The event will be in the traditional exhibition layout which provides for a series of marquees housing the all the LAA activities; indoor exhibitor space and our homebuilders exhibits.. Outside provides the space for larger displays and we will look forward to showcasing manufacturers and distributors of a wide range of the latest aircraft types from across the LAA fleet. The Speakers Corner marquee will host a varied programme of talks throughout the weekend\, including an open Q&A session each day with CEO\, Simon Tilling. \n​LAA Members will have free access to the aircraft park. Access available at an additional charge to non-members enabling everyone to get up close to inspect the wide range of aircraft attending the Rally. \n​The exhibition site will host a wide selection of food choices\, a full bar and ice cream van during the daytime whilst evening entertainment\, food and bar will be provided by Leicestershire Aero Club. There will be free car parking and on site campsite. \nOpening Times\nFriday: 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.Saturday: 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.mSunday: 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m \nCar ParkCar parking remains free. Follow sign posts to visitors car park. Please do not use the Exhibitor car park. Disabled parking is available. \nTickets and prices\nAll fly-in slot bookings for the event are available via the Eventbrite booking website.\nMember and public entrance tickets can be bought in advance via the LAA Shop. \n​​There is free car parking and provision for disabled parking on site. For those arriving by road\, Leicester Airfield is easily reached from the north and southwest via J21 on the M1; A563 Sth Leicester Bypass to B582 Gartree Road. Routes from the East and South East via A47 and A6. \n​​No dogs are allowed airside \n​Arriving by Air\nOne landing fee of £10.00 covers a single landing and stay of up to three days and camping by your aircraft. Pilots and accompanying passengers will also need to purchase individual entry tickets to the Rally \nIf flying in\, you will need to book a slot. \nPLEASE NOTE ANY FURTHER LANDINGS WILL BE CHARGED.
